Abdominal Exercises at Home Tips by Oneil Wilson
Not everyone has easy access to a gym or lots of fancy and expensive equipment. Other people simply don’t have time to get to the gym as often as they might like. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice your workouts or ignore your body. A huge array of fantastic abs exercises can be performed right from your home without any equipment at all.
A great place to start is with the lying toe touch. Lie down your back and raise your legs so that they are straight in the air and at a 90 degree angle. Extend your arms straight past your head and then lean up to touch your toes. Be sure to keep your legs held in the same spot and don’t use momentum to swing yourself up.
Slowly lower yourself to the starting position and complete 20 repetitions. When you can do this easily then you can increase the difficulty by holding a light dumbbell or a medicine ball in your hands as you reach to touch your toes.
Another great abs exercise that you can do from home is the reverse crunch. This is far more effective than a standard crunch which offers only a minimal range of motion. Lie on your back with your feet on the floor so that your knees are raised. Raise your knees into your chest while remaining flat on the floor, and then slowly lower your legs until your feet are just off the floor. Perform several sets of as many repetitions as you handle.
Of course this is only the beginning of the abs exercises that you can perform from home. You can do everything from all of the plank exercises to yoga poses like the bird dog and various twists and lifts that will produce fantastic results. Stop using the lack of a gym as an excuse and start producing real results right from your home.
